More Roll Backs on DEI

Let’s get straight into. Walmart will officially be rolling back on its diversity, equality & inclusion policies under the pressure of conversative activist. (Walmart to roll back its DEI policies). Actions like rewriting grants to pride events and no long considering race & gender as a way to increase diversity will start to take effect sooner than later. Yikesssssss! What does this mean for diverse candidates looking to secure a spot in this job market? We are basically back at square one. Having to work twice as hard to be seen for jobs that we know we are qualified for. BUT not all hope is lost. It’s important now more than ever to start creating a brand that will help you stand out amongst thousands of applicants. We have to be more tailored and targeted within our job searches and our networking skills have to be on 1000% because we are going back into a time where it’s WHO you know and not WHAT you know! Don’t panic! That’s why you have me & the main reason why I still have a full-time job so I can have my ear to the streets and keep you updated on what’s really going on with companies and their DEI policies.
