Dear Future Hires,

Yep. That happened. 🙃 I stayed loyal. I ignored my gut. I tried to play it safe with all the layoffs going on. And the universe said: “Girl, it’s time to learn.”

Here’s what this wild ride taught me about the job market (and myself):

1️⃣ TIMING IS EVERYTHING

Soon as I got that layoff notice, I hit up all 3 companies I’d turned down. And guess what? Crickets. 🦗🦗🦗 Yahoo, LinkedIn & Salesforce. All solid companies to work for.

It hurt. But I had my moment to say yes and I didn’t. They moved on. That’s business. That’s life. Don’t take it personal. Just take the lesson.

2️⃣ IF YOUR BODY SAYS “LEAVE”—LISTEN‼️

I was making almost $150K & didn’t wanna look like a job hopper. Friends and family advised me to stay. “Not everyone’s gonna like you at work,” they said.

But deep down, I knew I needed to leave. My body was screaming for change. I ignored it. And I paid the price.

If you feel it in your bones, it’s time. Trust yourself.

3️⃣ EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON

It might not feel like it now. You might be tired, discouraged, questioning everything.

But trust me: You’re being redirected. You’re being aligned. You’re being prepared for something bigger.

It gets messy before it gets magical. But there’s gold at the end. Always.
