• Communication, leadership, problem-solving, all these skills translate.

• Don’t downplay your experience just because it’s not in tech or corporate.

• Start listing out what you’ve done and match it to job descriptions. You’ll be surprised how much aligns.

🧰 Step 2: Build Your Brand Around Your Skills

• Update your resume and LinkedIn to reflect your impact, not just your tasks.

• Use phrases like “led,” “created,” “increased,” and “streamlined.”

• Post your journey. Your story is your brand & how others will find and recognize you.

🔍 Step 3: Research Roles That Fit YOU

• Visit the career site of your dream company and search for your dream role

• Find the required qualifications and see what skills you already have & what skills you may need to work on.

• Follow recruiters and hiring managers on LinkedIn. Comment, engage, and connect.

🧠 Step 4: Upskill Strategically

You don’t need a degree to pivot, you need access.

• Try free courses from LinkedIn Learning, Asana Academy, or Harvard’s online programs.

• Focus on certifications that align with your goals, not just what’s trending.

💬 Step 5: Tell Your Story Loudly

• “I transitioned from ___ to ___ using transferable skills like ___.”

• Share your wins, your lessons, and your growth.

• Use hashtags like #CareerPivot #TransferableSkills to boost visibility.
